2021 Holiday Evening at Edison State

Holiday Evening at Edison State has become The Edison Foundation’s most successful scholarship fundraiser to date, raising over $60,000 in 2020 alone. Thanks to this success, eighty-eight Edison State students from Darke, Miami, Shelby, Preble, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Logan, Mercer and Montgomery counties, have been offered over $138,625 in scholarships for the 2021–2022 academic year.

Once again, The Edison Foundation is partnering with Edison State Community College to offer a 100% scholarship to every 2021 high school graduate from our regional partner schools. This effort to respond to our community’s needs makes The Edison Foundation Scholarship program more important than ever. Proceeds from this event directly benefit The Edison Foundation in its mission to assist Edison State Community College in meeting its educational and community service goals by providing resources to advance student success. Additionally, funds will be directed to The Foundation’s Student Emergency Assistance fund.

In its twenty-fourth year, this annual event is known for outstanding entertainment and a festive atmosphere for supporters/donors—and has become a staple of the holiday season for many in the northern Miami Valley area. In previous years, the gala has featured a phenomenal array of appetizers, ice sculptures, holiday decorations and world-class entertainment, including performances by artists including Manhattan Transfer, Doc Severinsen, Matt Belsante, Harry Connick, Jr., The Texas Tenors, John Tesh and Simply Three.

The 2021 Holiday Evening at Edison State was held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, from 6:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m. We presented a reformatted event that offered a multi-stage experience—providing simultaneous performances featuring artists from the Edison State region—including Clark Manson, Adelee & Gentry, David Wion and Rachael Boezi. The artists delivered a unique holiday mix, as they provided the audience with a classical to country experience. Patrons had access to heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages located throughout the multi-stage event.
