Edison State Community College’s Center for Leadership Development will offer the Paul G. Duke Academy for Community Leadership 1.0 beginning in January 2026. This is a series of workshops designed to develop more effective executive directors, board members, staff, and volunteers of nonprofit organizations. Course topics include communication, strategic planning, budgeting, board engagement, assessment, operations, and more.

The Edison Foundation at Edison State Community College will host The Holidays at Edison State at the Piqua Campus on Friday, December 5, at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, December 6, at noon and 6:30 p.m., with doors opening 30 minutes before each show. The event will feature a madrigal celebration—a Renaissance-themed theatrical performance by the Edison Stagelight Players.

The program will prepare students to provide safe, evidence-based, client-centered care in various settings such as hospitals, long-term care, rehabilitation, and home health settings.

With 135 friends, family, and donors in attendance, the event provided recipients with the opportunity to meet the patrons who made their scholarships available.

Governor Mike DeWine has appointed Lawrence D. Holmes of Greenville and Trisha L. Wackler of Lewisburg to the Edison State Community College Board of Trustees. Both terms took effect on October 31, 2025; Holmes’ term will end January 17, 2031, while Wackler’s term will end January 17, 2029.
