Edison State Community College will host Certified Nursing Assistant training beginning November 5, 2025. This course provides students with local classroom and clinical training led by experienced instructors and allows them to begin working as a CNA in a few weeks.

The course will run from November 5 to November 25, 2025, with classes taking place November 5-6, 10-13, 17-20, and 24-25 from 3:15 to 8:15 p.m. at Brethren Retirement Community, located at 750 Chestnut Street in Greenville. Students will complete clinicals on November 16 and November 23 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Piqua Manor, located at 1840 High Street in Piqua.

The demand for CNAs is high locally and across the state. Students who complete this training can find job opportunities with hospitals, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and home health care providers. Additionally, many nursing schools in Ohio require applicants to complete CNA training as a program prerequisite.

Students must meet certain requirements to participate in the class and clinical. Learn more and register by visiting www.edisonohio.edu/CNA.

This course was previously known as State Tested Nursing Assistant training. Senate Bill 144 now formally recognizes STNAs as CNAs, without any changes to their duties or requirements.
