The new addition will be named the Upper Valley Medical Center/Premier Health Nursing Wing Addition at Edison State Community College.

To meet regional workforce needs, Edison State Community College will begin offering a Practical Nursing certificate program at its Eaton location. The program will prepare students to provide safe, evidence-based, client-centered care in various settings such as hospitals, long-term care, rehabilitation, and home health settings.

To help area employees strengthen their foundational skills in CNC mill programming, Edison State Community College’s Office of Workforce Development & Work-Based Learning is offering a CNC Mill Programming workshop. The in-person workshop will take place on Wednesdays and Fridays. The department will hold classes on March 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, and 20, from 8 a.m. to noon, totaling 24 hours, at Edison State’s Piqua Campus.

Edison State Community College’s baseball team returned to the field on Friday, February 6, and Saturday, February 7, when they traveled to Chattanooga State Community College. Despite a series of losses in the matchup, Head Baseball Coach Chris Wamsley is optimistic about the team’s potential for the season ahead.
