The Edison Foundation will host the third annual Bring-Your-Own-Partner (BYOP) Disc Golf Tournament on Saturday, September 27, on the Duke Foundation Disc Golf Course at Edison State Community College’s Piqua Campus. Proceeds from the event will benefit student scholarships at Edison State.

The Edison State Community College Workforce Development & Work-Based Learning office will host a Leadership Development Series during the fall of 2025. Designed for new supervisors and leaders, these workshops provide thought-provoking and engaging techniques to develop positive leadership skills. Participants will learn to effectively supervise former peers, improve communication skills, and strengthen conflict resolution techniques.

The Edison Foundation at Edison State Community College enjoyed a great day of golf at the scenic Troy Country Club during its 7th Annual Drive for Scholarships event on July 25. The event welcomed 82 participating golfers, as well as volunteers and sponsors, and raised $8,639 for scholarships. This brings the total funds raised through the annual event to $94,973, equating to at least 94 $1,000 scholarships over the past seven years.

In today’s tight labor market, finding a qualified industrial maintenance technician can be difficult. Employers can turn to the Industrial Electrical Controls Fundamentals course offered by Edison State Community College’s Office of Workforce Development & Work-Based Learning. This training provides a powerful starting point in developing skilled maintenance technicians from within companies’ existing workforces.

The department will display the exhibit, “Whisper, but at full volume, those rumors about me,” in the Anne Vaccaro and David Myers Gallery at the Piqua Campus during normal campus hours from May 12 to May 30, 2025.

The Edison State Community College Student Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Club held its fourth annual charity volleyball tournament on Saturday, April 26, at the Tecumseh Woods Sand Volleyball Courts in Piqua. The event raised $830, which the club will donate to 4 Paws for Ability in Xenia for their puppy enrichment program.
