First Day
We have every confidence in you and your abilities. That's why we invited you onboard!
As you arrive on campus & meet new colleagues, we want to help you thrive during this time. If we can make that easier, just let us know. We want to hear from you!
Business Casual is typically the standard. However, check with your department for specific expectations, and keep in mind that student-facing positions may have different dress code requirements. When in doubt, remember your audience and dress accordingly.
Currently there are no parking restrictions for employees of Edison State. You may park where it is most convenient for you based on the location of your department. No parking permit is required.
On your first day, this is what you can expect:
- Meet with Human Resources:
- Complete any unfinished paperwork
- Finalize your benefit selections.
- Receive a New Employee/Faculty Checklist
- Tour our Campus
- Meet your Supervisor
- Meet your Team Members
- Tour your area
- Review role and responsibilities with supervisor
- Learn about our ESCC mission and our students
- Meet with IT
- Receive your job equipment and supplies
- Receive assistant with equipment set-up
Your employee identification badge will be used for identification as well as giving you access across campus. Every employee and student need one!
