Onboarding at Edison State Community College




Before You Arrive

Your path has led you to Edison State and the next step in your career. We can't wait until you arrive! As you prepare for your first day, this guide will help you visualize what's ahead and learn more about your new workplace.

    • You should receive a link sent to your personal email address you used when you applied for the position. Access the “Workable” link sent to you to complete the onboarding documents. 

    You must provide proper documentation to an HR representative no later than your hire date. The hire date means the first day of work for pay. Failure to bring proper documentation and identification may result in delay in your start date, so don't forget!

        *Please note we need original forms of documents, one selection from List A or a combination of one selection from List B and one selection from List C.

    • Medical benefits are available for full-time employees. Employees working less than thirty hours a week are ineligible.

    • If you are starting a benefit eligible position, Denise Shaffer, Coordinator of Employee Benefits and Compensation will send you a link with our insurance offerings before your first day.

    Your employee ID# identifies you as an employee and gives you secure access to online and campus services. You will receive your ID# and account activation information/email access from one of our HR representatives before your start date. 

    Edison State uses Direct Deposit. To set up your Direct Deposit and receive your paycheck, fill out your direct deposit form (contained in your onboarding documents). You will also need to provide the following:

    • One bank-provided document (choose one):
      • Voided Check
      • Direct Deposit letter from your bank
      • Direct Deposit form generated from your bank's website.

    ACTION ITEMS

    • Submit the documents directly to a Human Resources representative.

    • If eligible, sign up for benefits.
