Student PTA Club Holds Charity Volleyball Tournament
The Edison State Community College Student Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Club held its fourth annual charity volleyball tournament on Saturday, April 26, at the Tecumseh Woods Sand Volleyball Courts in Piqua. The event raised $830, which the club will donate to 4 Paws for Ability in Xenia for their puppy enrichment program.

Players participate in the fourth annual Edison State Student PTA Club charity volleyball tournament, held at Tecumseh Woods Sand Volleyball Courts on Saturday, April 26.
“This has been a great event for the past four years to raise money for a good cause,” said Sara Young, Edison State PTA Program Director and Student PTA Club Advisor. “We had our best turnout this year and raised the highest amount of money for a local charity. 4 Paws for Ability is excited to receive the donation to help support their puppy enrichment program to enable the puppies to have what they need to become service dogs.”
During the event, 10 teams competed in a double-elimination-style tournament. Players could also participate in a 50/50 cash raffle and silent auction with items donated from various businesses. Businesses that provided cash donations or silent auction items for the tournament included:
