Edison State Hosting Spring Leadership Development Course
The Edison State Community College Workforce Development & Work-Based Learning office will host a Leadership Development course on Thursday, April 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Edison State’s Piqua Campus.
March 17, 2026
Designed for new supervisors and leaders, the Leadership Development courses provide thought-provoking and engaging techniques to develop positive leadership skills. Participants will learn to effectively supervise former peers, improve communication skills, and strengthen conflict resolution techniques.
April’s workshop, “Peer Today, Boss Tomorrow,” addresses the challenges of stepping into a supervisory role as relationships and expectations shift. This session equips new leaders with practical strategies to build confidence, establish boundaries, and lead effectively while maintaining trust and respect.
The course covers:
- Accepting a new role: Navigating the transition and embracing leadership responsibilities
- Setting boundaries: Managing relationships and communication with former peers
- Effective communication: Building clarity, confidence, and credibility as a leader
- Taking action: Solving problems decisively and aligning the team for the future
Register for the course for $175. For more information or to register, email Trisha Elliott, Coordinator of Client Relations & Program Outreach, or call 937.778.7811.
