Edison State Hosting CNA Training Beginning October 15
Edison State Community College will host Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training beginning October 15, 2025. This course provides students with local classroom and clinical training led by experienced instructors and allows them to begin working as a CNA in a few short weeks.
August 14, 2025

The course will run from October 15 to November 1, 2025, with classes taking place on weekdays from October 15-31 from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Edison State at Troy. Students will complete clinicals on October 26 and November 1 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The clinical education will take place at Piqua Manor, located at 1840 High Street in Piqua.
The demand for CNAs is high locally and across the state. Students who complete this training can find job opportunities with hospitals, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and home health care providers. Additionally, many nursing schools in Ohio require applicants to complete CNA training as a program prerequisite.
Students must meet certain requirements to participate in the class and clinical. Learn more and register by visiting www.edisonohio.edu/CNA.
This course was previously known as State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) training. Senate Bill 144 now formally recognizes STNAs as CNAs, without any changes to their duties or requirements.
