The Office of Workforce Development & Work-Based Learning at Edison State Community College will host the 2025 Summer Symposium for HR Professionals on Thursday, August 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Edison State’s Piqua Campus. Check-in will begin at 8 a.m.

Attendees at the one-day conference will explore ways to attract and retain a strong and engaged workforce, learn about employment law updates, and more. Participants can also network with other professionals, share best practices, and gain new partnerships.

The Human Resource Association of Western Ohio sponsors the event, which will feature a keynote address from Tafani Stober titled “(H)APPtitude.” The keynote will explore existing tools to help participants elevate their mindset, boost performance, and achieve exceptional outcomes. Attendees will discover how to turn routine into purpose, increase their personal impact, and create joy that extends beyond the workplace.

Stober is a passionate and results-driven leadership development coach committed to cultivating strong, thriving leaders who empower people and impact organizational culture. With two decades of experience in strategic leadership, team development, and talent empowerment, Stober specializes in coaching individuals to enhance their role as a leader who intentionally creates thriving environments that nail objectives and produce results.

Participants will also hear from other industry professionals. The program includes:

The Society for Human Resource Management recognizes Edison State as a recertification provider and will offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for attending.
