Manufacturing Co-op

Edison State Community College invites current students, high school students, and their parents/guardians, friends, and family to learn about a direct pathway leading into a high-tech, highly automated, and rewarding career at Honda. The College will hold an information session on Thursday, December 3, 2026, at 6 p.m. in the Robinson Theater at the Piqua Campus.

Equipment service technicians are in demand and play a critical role in maintaining advanced manufacturing systems and solving complex technical challenges. The Edison State to Honda Manufacturing Pathway program prepares students with the skills needed to take on these roles. Attendees of the information session will learn the difference between technician and engineering pathways to make career decisions that drive their futures.

The program is available to Edison State students pursuing an Associate of Applied Science in Electro-Mechanical Engineering. Certificate pathways, including Automation and Robotics and Electro-Mechanical Engineering, are embedded within the degree program and can be earned through selected course options.

Participating students will have the opportunity to intern (co-op) at Honda up to 29 hours per week, work with a mentor to gain confidence and skills, earn money while completing a college degree, gain experience to add to their resume, and graduate and start a career in modern manufacturing.

Co-ops will start out making at least $25.23 per hour and increase to $30.04 per hour after earning 30 credit hours. Those hired full-time will earn $37.13 per hour or $77,230 per year.

The Honda Co-op Information Session will also include pizza and drinks, Honda swag, raffle prizes, and an optional campus tour.
