The Edison Foundation and Edison State Community College are teaming up to host the eighth annual Drive for Scholarships golf scramble on Friday, July 31, at the Troy Country Club. All proceeds from the event will benefit the student scholarship program, which helps Edison State students attain higher education.

Event check-in for the scramble begins at 8 a.m., with the shotgun start for 18 holes at 9 a.m. The event includes a lunch buffet and an awards ceremony following the round of golf. Individual golfer fees are $175 per person or $600 for a four-person team and include a lunch buffet, greens fees, cart fees, and a chance to win prizes.

This year’s event will also include a golf ball drop before the shotgun start. The ball closest to the pin wins half the pot, and participants do not have to be present to win. Purchase one ball for $5, five balls for $20, 12 balls for $50, or 25 balls for $100.

For more information, email The Edison Foundation. To register an individual or team, become an event sponsor, or purchase balls for the golf ball drop, visit www.edisonohio.edu/golf.
