Auditions for a Masque of Mirth at the Holidays at Edison State a Madrigal Celebration

Monday and Tuesday, October 21–22, at 7 p.m.

A Shakespearean Madrigal Feast at the Court of King Edmund and Queen Katherine of Edison

Be part of The Edison Foundation’s Holidays at Edison State: A Madrigal Celebration–Renaissance-themed events, complete with audience participation, delicious food, music, and merriment!

Seeking performers of all kinds!
Singers • Magicians • Jugglers • Flute/Lute Players • Acrobats • and other performance artists, in addition to general performers

Auditions will also be held for scripted roles, including: King Edmund of Edison • Queen Katherine of Edison • Lady Beatrice of Arden • Sir Benedick • Master Malvolio Quinceworth (Steward of the Hall) • Will Kempster, called Merrywit (the Fool) • Sir Orlando Quicktongue (Troubadour/Minstrel) • Sir Toby Belch of Belgrave • Dame Petronella Plumfair (Royal Taster) • Lord Peregrine Montjoy (Master of Revels) • Lady Rosaline Fairford (Mistress of the Wardrobe) • Lord Silas Pembroke (Master of the Hunt) • Lady Viola Hartwell (Lady-in-Waiting) • Courtiers, Peasants, and Pages

  • Acting Rehearsals: Begin Thursday, October 23, and run through November 25, Tuesdays through Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. (with occasional Saturdays).
  • Vocal Ensemble: Mondays beginning October 27, 7:00–9:00 p.m. Additional sessions may be scheduled as needed.
  • Dress Rehearsals: December 1–4, starting at 6:00 p.m.
  • Performance Dates: December 5, starting at 6:00 p.m., and December 6 at 11:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Event page: www.edisonohio.edu/holidays

If you can’t attend auditions but would still like to participate, we may have openings for performers, musicians, or support crew. We’re also recruiting for the production and creative team! Opportunities include: Directing • Stage Management • Costuming • Lighting • Set Design • Props • Advertising • Ushering
