Twenty students recently completed Edison State Community College’s Health Care Pathways Summer Camp at its Troy location. Sponsored by Edison State’s Office of Workforce Development and Work-Based Learning and the Ohio Department of Higher Education, the camp aimed to help participants launch their careers in health care.

The Edison Foundation received a $2,000 grant from The Kroger Co. Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Foundation and the Cincinnati operating division on behalf of Edison State Community College. The funds will support the Charger Station food pantries. Edison State representatives visited the Piqua Kroger during its grand reopening event, during which Kroger representatives presented a check to college officials.

The West Central Ohio Manufacturing Partnership recently selected Edison State Community College student Noah Roy, of Sidney, as a recipient of one of five $1,000 scholarships. Lew Modic, WCOMP Director, and Edison State Workforce Success Specialist Dr. Roger Fulk, who served as a member of the WCOMP Selection Committee, presented Roy with his award at the association’s May membership meeting held at Wright State University–Lake Campus.
