Edison State Community College is proud to announce that 100% of Spring 2023 nursing graduates passed the National Council Licensing Examination (NCLEX). There were 27 graduates from the nursing program that took the exam, with all 27 earning a passing score on their first attempt.

In recent years, Edison State Community College’s Piqua Campus has lost many trees because of the removal of diseased ash trees, environmental factors, and building additions. To maintain a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and the community, the College aims to plant 50 trees or more as part of its 50th Anniversary celebration.

Edison State Community College and Franklin University hosted an event to officially mark the expansion of their 25-year articulation agreement by providing access to Franklin’s new Pathway Portal. Through the partnership, Edison State students and graduates gain access to online courses needed to earn a four-year degree with Franklin at a reduced tuition rate of $298 per credit hour.

Edison State Community College will hold a Manufacturing Camp June 3–6, 2024, at the Piqua Campus. The camp will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Designed for students aged 12 to 16, this camp offers an immersive experience that will help students discover and develop skills in manufacturing.

Edison State Community College’s Center for Leadership Development will offer the Paul G. Duke Academy for Community Leadership 1.0 beginning in January 2026. This is a series of workshops designed to develop more effective executive directors, board members, staff, and volunteers of nonprofit organizations. Course topics include communication, strategic planning, budgeting, board engagement, assessment, operations, and more.

Edison State Community College will host Certified Nursing Assistant training beginning November 5, 2025. This course provides students with local classroom and clinical training led by experienced instructors and allows them to begin working as a CNA in a few weeks.
