Students in Edison State Community College’s Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program took part in a CareFlight demonstration on Tuesday, November 5. They learned how to identify landing zones, communicate with CareFlight about landing and takeoff, and properly load a patient.

The Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) has granted provisional accreditation to Edison State Community College’s Respiratory Care program. This approval allows the College to admit its first class of up to 14 students into the program.

The Edison Foundation received a $2,792 grant from The Piqua Community Foundation on behalf of Edison State Community College. The funds were used to purchase seven IV hand models, which are being used by students in the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, and Nursing programs at the College.
