The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) department at Edison State Community College has received three grants to purchase a virtual reality (VR) training program that will be used by students in the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Paramedic programs at the College.

The Edison Foundation held its 26th annual Holiday Evening at Edison State Community College on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, raising $65,300 for student scholarships and resources. Over 400 guests attended the annual event, where they enjoyed heavy hors d’oeuvres, drinks, the company of others, and great music from regional performing artists.

Edison State Community College will host State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) training beginning January 16, 2024. This accelerated course provides students with a local classroom and clinical environment led by knowledgeable and experienced instructors. It allows students to begin working as an STNA in a few short weeks.

Edison State Community College and Franklin University hosted an event to officially mark the expansion of their 25-year articulation agreement by providing access to Franklin’s new Pathway Portal. Through the partnership, Edison State students and graduates gain access to online courses needed to earn a four-year degree with Franklin at a reduced tuition rate of $298 per credit hour.
