    At Edison State Community College, the health, safety and well-being of our students, faculty, staff and their families is of the utmost importance. If you are registered this spring for an  onsite course, you will be expected to follow specific guidelines established by the CDC, Ohio Department of Health, local health departments and the College. Please review these guidelines and keep them in mind as you prepare for the beginning of the 2021 Spring semester. 

    All location occupants must

    • Maintain six-foot social distancing when possible 
    • Wear a mask in all public areas, including classrooms
    • Answer basic screening questions upon entry
    • Do you feel ill? Are you experiencing cold or flu symptoms? Have you tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days? Have you been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days?
    • Verify that temperature is under 100.4 degrees
    • Clean personal space(s) used in classrooms (cleaning supplies provided)
    • Arrive no more than 15-minutes prior to the beginning of your first class and depart immediately after your final class (unless meeting with Edison State faculty or staff)  

    Additional information

    • All student-related appointments must be scheduled in advance 
    • Water fountains, vending machines will be unavailable
    • Student lounges will be closed
    • Access to computers and study spaces for out-of-class work is available through the Library and Tutoring Center
    • You are required to enter through the main entrance (Robinson Student Career Center entrance)
    • Be prepared to show your Edison State ID or other photo ID upon entry  

    Moving into Spring 2021

    Edison State is committed to keeping our locations clean and safe, while providing the highest level of education and services to our students. In addition to the procedures listed above, Edison State will ensure that all classrooms are sanitized between classes, high touch areas are cleaned regularly and all safety protocols are followed by all individuals entering any of our locations. We strongly encourage you to monitor both Blackboard and your Edison State email frequently for updates from administration, instructors and advisors. The following is a summary of information and resources that you may need.

    Understanding your Spring 2021 schedule—
    How, when and where your classes will be held

    • MANY Spring courses that DO NOT have a hands-on learning component will be conducted fully via DISTANCE-LEARNING or ONLINE with the exception of courses at our regional locations (Eaton, Greenville and Troy) which will be conducted as HYBRID-LEARNING sections, with both in-person, on-campus sessions and work that will be completed via distance-learning or online. 
    • Spring courses WITH a required hands-on learning component will be conducted as HYBRID-LEARNING classes with some amount of DISTANCE-LEARNING or ONLINE utilized while having up to 75% of instruction delivered in-person in a small-group, social-distancing format at an Edison State location. 
    • Fall courses designated or referred to as SYNCHRONOUS-LEARNING sessions are ONLINE sections, whereby students are required to virtually attend the class during the meeting times indicated in WebAdvisor or MyESCC.  

    Resources available to you

    • There are now TWO convenient dropboxes at the Piqua Campus—one is located outside the Robinson Student Career Center—the other is located outside the North Hall entrance.
    • Instructors are available to assist you with any course-related questions that you may have.
    • Review your course syllabus for your instructor's contact information.
    • Stay in contact and reach out early and regularly with any questions or concerns. 
    • If you need any other type of assistance, please contact your Career Pathways Advisor first. Names and contact information for advisors can be found on this page.
