    Interested in attending Edison State?

    Edison State Community College is dedicated to maintaining an environment that celebrates the diversity of all individuals. We are committed to student success, both academically and personally. International students are required to be enrolled in a degree program as full-time students (12 or more credit hours) each semester.

    Ready to get started?  Complete the simple steps below to become an Edison State student!

    Number 1    Submit one of the following—
    Are your a new student?  Submit an application.
    Are you a returning student?  Complete an information update.
    Number 2  Take the ACCUPLACER assessment  (if needed)
    Students who have taken the ACT or SAT within the past two (2) years, or who have successfully completed college-level math or English, may not need a placement assessment. Learn more about the ACCUPLACER assessment by clicking here.
    Number 3  Meet with a career pathways advisor—
    Create your personalized education plan.
    Number 4  Attend orientation to receive—
    Class schedule, student ID and information about campus resources

    Be sure to provide the following

    The documents listed below must be provided in addition to the application and prior to the issuance of an I-20.
    Checkmark    Proof of English proficiency.
    Provide qualifying TOEFL scores.
    Checkmark    All academic records/transcripts, including official high school and college/university transcripts, translated into English. For translation into English and U.S. grading equivalents, you may use World Education Services at
    Checkmark    Two (2) letters of recommendation from a principal, headmaster, advisor or major professor of the last school attended, or from your employer.
    Checkmark    Provide a 300–500 word hand-written essay.
    Clearly state your educational background and goals.
    Checkmark    Verification of sufficient funds to cover out-of-state tuition, books and living expenses. Edison State Community College does not offer on- or off-campus housing of any kind. Students must be able to make their own housing arrangements.

    Checkmark    Please read and retain your official admissions letter. Make note of your Student Identification number. This number uniquely identifies you as an Edison State student and serves as your gateway to most Edison State services, including Registration and Financial Aid.
    Checkmark    Students who wish to enroll in online courses must successfully complete the Online Readiness Workshop. You may register for the workshop at the same time that you register for your online class.
    Checkmark    Visit the Bookstore.
    Obtain your books and Charger apparel.
    Checkmark    Pay for your classes.
    Get your FREE parking permit.
