    Qualification Information

Students interested in participating in the College Credit Plus (CCP) program must submit assessment scores to determine CCP participation eligibility and course eligibility at Edison State Community College.

Students must register to take the ACCUPLACER Assessment or submit qualifying scores from the ACT or SAT. Register to schedule an ACCUPLACER Assessment appointment and/or review submission guidelines for qualifying ACT or SAT scores by expanding the bars below.

  • Eligibility to participate in the College Credit Plus (CCP) program is determined by state guidelines. Students must meet college-ready benchmark standards in at least one subject area or meet additional qualification standards set by the state, in order to be eligible to participate in CCP.

        College-Ready Benchmark Scores
    ACCUPLACER ACT SAT
263 Writing 18 English  480 Writing and Reading
    250 Reading 22 Reading
    263 Math  22 Math  530 Math

In addition to program eligibility, assessment scores will be evaluated to determine course eligibility at Edison State. Students must meet course eligibility standards to enroll in courses with prerequisite requirements.

Prospective CCP students who do not have qualifying ACT or SAT scores, must complete the ACCUPLACER Assessment at Edison State. The assessment can be completed at either the Piqua or Darke County Campus by appointment. Each student is permitted an initial ACCUPLACER assessment at no cost. For subsequent attempts, students will be charged a $10 reassessment fee, due at the time of testing. To allow for adequate processing time, complete the online application two weeks prior to scheduling the ACCUPLACER assessment.

ACCUPLACER Assessment appointments can be made by registering at a link below. Students MUST bring the following items to their ACCUPLACER appointment:

    1. Most recent academic records: high school students–transcript with cumulative GPA; junior high school students–report card
    2. ONE form of appropriate identification (Bring ONE of the following: state-issued photo ID, school-issued ID or College Board official ID form.)

IMPORTANT  Registration for ACCUPLACER events closes ONE WEEK PRIOR to the testing date OR when the specific event has reached registration capacity, whichever comes first. ACCUPLACER attempts are limited to twice per year.

Edison State course eligibility is determined through an evaluation of assessment scores and additional factors. Students will be notified of general course eligibility after the submission of assessment scores and high school transcripts.

Multiple Measures  In addition to assessment scores, course eligibility may be determined through Multiple Measures procedures. Multiple Measures assessment evaluates a student's course eligibility based upon several factors, including the student's high school transcript, achievement in high school math and/or English courses and overall high school GPA.

Course Prerequisites  Some courses have specific requirements that must be met prior to enrollment. These prerequisites vary by course and may consist of assessment score requirements and/or the completion of prior course work. Students must satisfy all prerequisites prior to achieve course eligibility.
