First, you need a laptop computer. Virtually all current models support 802.11b networking, but check to be sure.
If you are using an Apple PowerBook or iBook, you will need to install an Airport card; the antenna is built into the case. Airport software is already installed, so you just need to configure your system to use it. Look on the Control Strip for the orange Airport signal indicator. Green lights indicate there is a wireless network in range. Click on the popup network selector to access the network. Refer to your user guide regarding TCP/IP and other network settings.
If you are using a Windows-based PC laptop, you will need to install a PC card into an available PC card slot. Install and configure the software per the instructions. Refer to your user guide regarding TCP/IP and other network settings.
