How to Apply for a College Tech Prep Scholarship

1. Contact the College Tech Prep office at 937-778-7988 to request an application. Complete the College Tech Prep Scholarship Application form.  
    
2. Secure High School College Tech Prep teacher's signature, verifying grade point average.
    
3. Complete the placement test at Edison (Compass). To schedule the COMPASS, call Edison 937-778-8600 or 800-922-3722, ext. 7850.  At this time, you will also make an appointment with an academic advisor. Bring the College Tech Prep Scholarship Application with you when you come to meet the academic advisor.  The advisor will certify that you have completed COMPASS and do not require any developmental courses.
    
4. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Process and the Student Financial Aid Application by May 1 each year.  Forms are available in the Financial Aid Office, room 160. 
    
5. Complete an application for admission and register for classes in a College Tech Prep career area.  You must register for at least six credit hours to receive this scholarship.
    
6. This scholarship is renewable each year as long as the student maintains continuous enrollment in a College Tech Prep career area or a related pathway and maintains a grade point average of 2.0 or above. The scholarship is renewable until the student has achieved the number of credit hours required for his/her degree.
