Workplace
Study of interpersonal skills using practical applications for
the development of a positive work environment. The focus
is on communications, motivation, managing change, solving
problems, employee development, and team development.

MGT 219S Negotiated Decision Making
In-depth study of the psychology and techniques of negotiations
in a variety of situations. Through the use of exercises
and cases professional resolution of opposing positions is
reached using a "win-win" model.

Study of the structure, techniques, and application of project
management including mathematical models, decision-making,
styles of management, and communications. Analysis of and
oral reports on project management problems. Semester team
project with written and oral presentation. |
MGT 230S Problem Solving & Decision Making
Introduces the fundamentals of problem solving and strategic
management. Designed to help students solve problems in
analytic ways, a needed skill for those working in professional
capacities in the public, private and non-profit sectors.
Students will identify problem situations, find and verify the
true cause, develop an action plan. Examines the decision
making process commonly used in industry, develops problem
solving skills, and encourages analyzing the solution for
strengths and weaknesses.
