BUS 110S Introduction to Business
A description of the American business system, its organization and environment, and the basic functions of finance, production and marketing. Team approach to developing solutions for small business problems is utilized. Syllabus 
BUS 115S Business Mathematics
Designed for students in a technology who need an understanding of mathematical processes in business and finance. Course emphasizes use of math in business applications. Topics include the use of mathematics in calculating compound interest, present values, future values, annuities and amortizations. Syllabus
BUS 116S Personal Finance
Management of personal income with emphasis on family financial planning, including budgeting, income taxes, types of insurance, and forms of investment. Syllabus
BUS 123S Business Writing
A review of the basic techniques of clear writing and the effect of words with an emphasis on grammar and mechanics. The course covers basic patterns of business communication including letters, memoranda and reports. The course is also offered in a modular format as described in BUS 101S, BUS 102S and BUS 103S.  Syllabus
BUS 200S - Entrepreneurship
A study of how small businesses are established and operated. Designed for individuals who are thinking about starting a business. Topics include general business operations, management, accounting, and marketing. Syllabus
BUS 221S Principles of Management
A study of the principles of management. Attention is given to applying those principles to both general and functional management of businesses by concentrating on problem-solving and analysis techniques suitable for management activity. Syllabus
BUS 229S Business Finance
Financial management of business enterprises with emphasis on financial analysis, working with capital management, short and long term financing, capital budgeting, cost of capital, and dividend policy. Syllabus
BUS 231S Purchasing
A study of the purchasing organization, development of sources of supply, purchasing procedures, policies, governmental procurement, decision-making, and problem solving necessary to the procurement and materials management function.  Syllabus
BUS 235S Business Law I
Introduction to the legal system and the judicial process as they affect the business environment. The substantive areas of contracts, agency, and torts will be developed along with employment issues. Syllabus
BUS 238S Management Analysis
In-depth, integrated study of management functions applied to companies and industries. Analytical and decision-making skills are applied to classic, as well as current cases. Also includes a team-building situation. Capstone for Business Management and Industrial Management majors.  Syllabus
BUS 291S Internship
Designed to give students practical experience through 14 hours per week of supervised work environment.  Experiences are discussed and integrated with academic work in weekly seminars.  Prerequisite: (1) Completion of interview with fulltime BUS (Marketing) faculty member and department approval; (2) Completion of BUS 110S, MKT 216S and completion of any three of the remaining required core courses: MKT 112S, MKT 113S, MKT 217S, MKT 219S, MKT 233S, MKT 218S; (3) Maintenance of a minimum 2.5 GPA in BUS major based on 4.0 standard; (4) completion of personal resume; (5) Completion of all registration procedures and payment of fees.  Syllabus
