Requirements for
Admission to the Nursing Program
Admission to the nursing program is competitive. Admission to
Edison Community College does not guarantee admission to the nursing
program.
A satisfactory math assessment score and three years of
college
preparatory mathematics or a grade of "C" or better in MTH 099D,
Intermediate Algebra II, and one year of high school chemistry or
CHM 110S, Introduction to Chemistry, is required before entering the
first nursing course. Science and math prerequisites need to be
completed prior to admission to the nursing program and can be taken
during the application process if needed. A grade point average of
2.5 or higher is also required.
Application deadline is January 31 for admission to the following
fall semester. Applications for the Nursing Program will be
available August 1, in the Nursing Office, the
Admissions Office and at the Darke County Campus. For more
