Course Descriptions
Edison Community College offers courses designed to transfer credit to other colleges and universities as well as courses meant for professional development.
Course descriptions help you:
- Identify the content of a course.
- Determine if a class has any prerequisites.
- Identify what semester(s) the course is offered in.
The syllabus provides even more detail about a course, including course objectives and the subject areas the course will cover.
All courses are named with a three-letter code and a three-digit number. Course codes correspond to similarly-named campus departments. Courses are organized alphabetically by their code in the menu to the left. Click on a department to view its courses.
Any course numbered below 100 is a developmental course. Developmental course credit does not apply toward degree or certificate programs. These courses prepare students for additional course work.
