Part Time SBDC Secretary
Position Class Code C0208
Edison Community College is seeking a part-time
secretary, 20 hours per week, for the Small Business Development
Center. This support staff member will provide secretarial and
operational support to the Small Business Development Center.
High School Diploma or GED required, Associate Degree or three years
of experience in a progressive administrative/clerical work
environment preferred. Excellent customer service skills and the
ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality are imperative.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and have experience
working with databases. The successful candidate must be
self-motivated, dependable, detail-oriented, organized, flexible,
and be willing to work as a team member in a values-based
environment.

Secretary for Student Development – Financial Aid Specialization
Position Class Code C0508
Edison Community College is
seeking a full-time secretary for the Student Development department
who will provide technical expertise in the processing of
information related to financial aid. Hours are generally 8:00 a.m.
– 5:00 p.m. with Saturday and evening hours as required.
The selected candidate will serve as part of the team that provides
support services for internal and external customers of the Student
Development department.
This support staff member will assist students with all aspects of
the enrollment process including providing related information and
materials as well as scheduling appointments with the appropriate
personnel. Other responsibilities include tracking all incoming
financial aid documents, appeals, loan checks and receipts,
notifying applicants of incomplete documents and needed information,
distributing appropriate financial aid documents to students, and
actively utilizing the college’s database system and other software.
The individual will also provide support services to personnel
within the Student Development department, as well as ensuring a
welcoming atmosphere for students and their guests.
High school diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred.
Excellent customer service skills are imperative as is the ability
to multi-task. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and
have experience working with databases. This position requires a
willingness to have and maintain broad-based knowledge about all
aspects of the college as well as state and federal financial aid
regulations. The successful candidate must be self-motivated,

program.
Required qualifications are

active current RN Ohio license, at least five years practice as a
registered nurse (acute care, obstetrics and/or pediatrics
preferred), two of which have been as a faculty member in a
registered nursing education program, and a masters degree with a
major in nursing. Teaching experience in a community college is
preferred. Participation in continuous quality improvement,

governance, and community service is expected. Starting salary is
$50,000 (12-month contract).
