Financial Aid Awards

1. If eligibility is determined, you will receive the Financial Aid Award Notice from the Student Financial Aid Office. The awards listed are usually based on full-time enrollment; however, awards may be adjusted with credit hour adjustments after classes begin.

2. Federal financial aid students must enroll in a degree or one-year certificate program. State financial aid students must enroll in a degree program (only). You must obtain your advisor’s signature on the registration form each semester.

Withdrawals/Non-attendance

A reduction in credit hours at any time during the semester may cause a reduction in financial aid, which, in turn, may cause you to have an outstanding balance to the College. A reduction in credit hours can occur in the following ways:

a) you drop a class before, during or after the 100% refund period;

b) your class is cancelled and you fail to add the necessary credit hours to meet the conditions of your financial aid;

c) you fail a short term class which is a prerequisite for your next short term class, and you fail to add the necessary credit hours to meet the conditions of your financial aid. Any outstanding balance to the College caused by the reduction of your financial aid is your responsibility.

2. Official or unofficial withdrawals (non-attendance) may cause your current semester aid to be reduced or cancelled, creating an outstanding balance to the college. Withdrawal from all classes may create an additional debt to the Federal Department of Education, as well as loss of eligibility in future terms. See Federal Title IV Return of Funs Policy.

3. Grades of W, FUW, U and F may cause you to become ineligible for aid. See Satisfactory Progress Policy.
