New
term of 450 classes
opens on January 14
Edison Community College presents more than 450 sections of
classes in its spring semester which begins on January 14.
Registration
and fee payment continue through Saturday, January 12, at both the
main campus in Piqua and the new Darke County Campus at 601 Wagner
Ave. in Greenville.
Fees can be paid in
four installments. Following
the initial payment of one-fourth of the tuition, plus a service fee,
students make deferred tuition payments by February 1, March 1, and
April 1. Cash, check,
Visa, and MasterCard can be utilized.
For the students'
convenience, Edison's January term features 30
online classes and another two dozen sections on Saturdays.
Composition I, Intro
to Psychology, and Principles of Accounting II are available both
online and on the weekend. English
courses in composition, technical writing, and fiction writing are
also among the online classes. In
addition, introductions to word processing, spreadsheets and the
Internet can be taken online.
A record number of 80
classes are set for the Darke County Campus.
Nearly 30 of these sections feature courses in English and
computer information technology.
For the first time, Edison's Darke County facility has
scheduled courses in AutoCad, metrology, hydraulics and pneumatics,
and engineering design and graphics.
New interactive
video-conferencing equipment
 now
makes it possible for Edison to offer courses to both Greenville and
Piqua campus students simultaneously.
Courses titled Business Law, Marriage and the Family, and Intro
to Human Resources are presented in this format during the coming
term.
Edison has set
numerous four- and eight-week classes within the traditional 16-week
semester. Two new
Logistics courses-- Supply Chain Management and International
Logistics-- are slated this spring.
