Jim Donovan Rhythm and Drumming Workshop
The Fine and Performing Arts Board is pleased to announce that Jim Donovan will be on campus on Friday, September 12th to conduct a drumming workshop for students and employees (Free admission for students and employees--bring your student ID card; $20 for others). The workshop is 12 noon until 2 in the theatre.

Bring your own drum or use one of the 35 Jim will bring. The goal of the workshop is to get people playing music together regardless of their prior music knowledge.

An energizing workshop, this venue is appropriate for absolute beginners or intermediate drummers.

Jim will guide you through a series of steps to include playing technique, rhythmic ear training exercises, traditional multi-cultural rhythms as well as the full-on-anything-goes drum circle jam at the end of the workshop.

He will focus on playing in a group situation and developing musical creativity.

Jim has a relaxed and humor-infused style of teaching that is non intimidating and all inclusive.

Release stress, laugh, and learn the basics of hand drumming.
