Schedules Nearly 100 Classes for Eight-week Term Starting March 18
Edison Community College features a variety of new offerings during the March 18 short term, including special accelerated flex courses in industrial management.
Classes are presented at both the main campus in Piqua and the new Darke County Campus at 601 Wagner Ave. in Greenville.
Registration continues through March 16 at noon for the 100 college-level classes available in the compressed, eight-week session. Courses earn one, two, three
and even four hours of semester credit.
Accelerated classes titled Industrial Organization, Human Relations in the Workplace, and Statistical Process Control require less time in class and more assigned work outside class. The Industrial Organization section is set for Edison’s Greenville location.
In addition, flex classes are scheduled in humanities, philosophy, psychology, and sociology.
Also available are sections of introductory computers, word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation graphics.
ProE and Autocad software courses are taught in engineering technology. Basic math, beginning algebra, intermediate algebra, and trigonometry are slated, too.
Several of the math and computer courses are offered at the Darke County Campus.
Introduction to the Internet is one of Edison’s short term online classes.
Compressed non-credit offerings focusing on employee development and computer essentials are planned for later in the month.
Tools and techniques for continuous improvement are taught in a course meeting March 22, 29, and April 5.
Tools and techniques for solving quality issues is a single-session class on March 29.
Computer program fundamentals are taught March 18 at the main campus and March 21 at the Darke County Campus.
Edison introduces a new creative writing course that meets April 2, 9, 16, and 23 at 6 p.m.
