Edison
Presents New Scholarship Program
for January Students
New scholarships for the January to May spring semester are now being offered by Edison Community College.
The scholarships, which can be used for course work at either the main campus in Piqua or the Darke County Campus in Greenville, range from $250 to full tuition awards exceeding $1600 for one semester. This $1600 amount reflects the average cost for an Edison full-time student for one term.
The new financial assistance program is available for first-time Edison students and those returning to college
after an absence of at least five years from any higher education institution. Applicants can be enrolled on a part- or full-time basis.
The application procedure requires completion of the Academic Scholarship Application Form, including a needs statement, and the submission of high school transcripts and academic transcripts from other colleges.
Applicants also prepare a 500 word essay entitled
“Why I should receive this scholarship.”
Edison’s Office of Student Financial Aid must receive all application materials by November 30.
In addition to this special spring scholarship program, Edison offers various state and federal aid packages, as well as campus work-study and childcare grants.
For more information or to receive an application in the mail, phone 1-800-922-3722, ext 321.
