Hosts March 28 Seminar on High-Tech Solutions for Computer Networks
Thin Client Connectivity, which utilizes technologies based on Microsoft’s terminal server and the Citrix MetaFrame, is the topic of discussion at the
March 28 Piqua Technology Forum at Edison Community College.
Set for 3 to 5 p.m. in North Hall on Edison’s main campus in Piqua, the workshop features information technology (IT) professionals from PC Solutions in Centerville. For ten years, PC Solutions has provided services for wide-area and local-area computer networks.
Representatives from information technology businesses and from companies with IT departments are invited to attend the seminar. Edison and the Greater Dayton IT Alliance welcome participation by prospective new Alliance members.
Refreshments are provided at the program. A $10 registration fee is charged.
Edison, which is the region’s number one educational resource for IT training, has served as host of the forum for two years.
Workshop speakers are Jack Gerbs of Springboro, CEO; John Parmley of Centerville, general manager; and Steve Barno of Tipp City, director of business development.
Known as the “Connectivity Company,” PC Solutions offers data and telecommunications solutions for business clients.
The March 28 meeting gives IT professionals in the
region an opportunity to share information and discuss common challenges in computer networking.
Primary focus at the upcoming forum deals with
design of the latest technology in high tech voice and data infrastructure. Specific attention will be given to the installation and maintenance of Thin Client Connectivity.
PC Solutions is a Microsoft Solutions Partner and a Novell Platinum Partner.
“We’re looking forward to helping enlighten others in the IT industry. At the same time, we expect to learn from others, too,” Barno said. “The growth rate in technology in this field is so fast we need to assist each other in keeping pace.”
