Academic Advising
An academic advisor is
available days, evenings and Saturday mornings to assist
students in planning courses towards degree completion. Students
are encouraged to make an appointment for individual advising
sessions. An advisor at the Darke County Campus is able to help
you plan your academic progress for the first 30 semester hours.
Upon completion of 30 hours or the formal declaration of major,
students are assigned to a full-time faculty member in their
degree program for advising.
Students
using Veteran's Benefits or the Tech Prep Scholarship are
required to have an advisor's signature before registering for
classes.
Transfer students are encouraged to see an advisor each time
before registering to make sure the courses they are planning to
take are suitable for transfer to the school of their choice.
While Edison has articulation agreements with numerous colleges
and universities, students should make early contact with an
advisor at their transfer institution to maximize transfer of
credits earned at Edison. More detailed information about the
transferability of courses and Edison partnerships may be found
on the Edison Advising Resource Center web
site.
