4-5 p.m.
Members present: Pam Gibellino, Chip Hare, Anna Hudelson, Jane Kretschmann, and Jane Salisbury, facilitator.
Members absent: Ray Lepore, Ronnie Mayo, Dawn Stinson.
Pam Gibellino reported on the progress with the brochure. She has discussed the brochure with Sandy Brubaker and Dawn Stinson. Sandy Brubaker suggested splitting the Student Ambassador section from the Leadership Opportunities section, and she is in favor of the idea of a Student Recognition Evening. Dawn Stinson suggested a few changes to make the brochure more marketable. Committee members suggested a few other minor revisions. Pam Gibellino will incorporate the suggested changes, give it to Dawn Stinson for a final draft, and then distribute the draft to committee members by the end of the month.
Discussion continued concerning the spring event to recognize students. Members discussed formation of a special committee, chairmanship of this committee, communicating these opportunities to students, the process of recognizing students, etc. Chip Hare will talk with Sandy Brubaker concerning the spring event and the chairmanship of the committee. Jane Kretschmann suggested that we use the fall Edison Extravaganza as a means of communicating these opportunities to students.
It was decided that those in the college who might be in a position to recommend and/or recognize students be invited to give input to the process and share ideas. Anna Hudelson will send a college-wide e-mail inviting those who are interested to share ideas with the committee. These individuals may be invited to attend the next committee meeting.
The next meeting will be held Monday, April 29, at 4 p.m. in the Board Room.
