MINUTES OF MEETING
Friday, March 8, 2002
2-3:30 p.m.
Members present: Pam Gibellino, Chip Hare, Anna Hudelson, Jane Kretschmann, Ronnie Mayo, and Jane Salisbury, facilitator. Members absent: Ray Lepore, Dawn Stinson.
Ann Miller was asked to attend this meeting to answer and clarify questions about the web link, which would expand the information highlighted in the proposed brochure. She fielded committee questions regarding the brochure and the web link. The brochure will be used for general purposes; the web link will be used to highlight the most current activities.
Jane Kretschmann asked Jane Salisbury to clarify the role of the committee. Jane Salisbury stated that our role is to recommend the process for student recognition, not to carry out each of the recommended activities in the process.
Much discussion occurred during the review of the two proposed brochures presented by Pam Gibellino. It was decided to avoid clustering of items and to include as much contact information as possible (realizing that an annual revision of the brochure may be necessary). It was decided that the Office of Student Activities should be the contact reference for more information about community service opportunities.
Pam Gibellino will prepare a second draft of the brochure to send to committee members for revision. This draft will be sent out on March 18 with a request for feedback by March 20. Pam Gibellino will also discuss this brochure with Sandy Brubaker, determine if there is money in the budget for the publication of the brochure, and attempt to pilot this brochure at the Edison Career Fair on April 3. CQI committee members expressed appreciation to Pam Gibellino for her extensive work on the brochure.
Jane Salisbury suggested that the brochure be presented to the CQI Steering Committee at its next meeting on April 12.
The next meeting will be held Monday, April 8, at 4 p.m. in the Board Room.
