Meeting Minutes
July 13, 2006

Present: Ann Miller, Brad Reed, Gretchen Grilliot, Chuck Steel, David Gansz and Jane Salisbury-CQI Process Leader.

Absent: Becki Lawhorn

Ann Miller volunteered to serve as team leader.

The group discussed clarifying and redefining of the charge. It was agreed that a survey would be developed to determine what is important to our students regarding online student services. The survey data should help the team to clarify the charge and begin to establish a timeline for moving forward.

The following actions will be completed prior to the next meeting of the team in September:

• Brad Reed will create a survey in Zoomerang and distribute the survey link to the members of the online student services team for a review of the survey questions.

  • The questions will each be two parts-

    • How important is _________ online service to you?

    • How well are we doing?
       

• After approval by the team members the survey will be distributed to the following populations (the survey will be available beginning next week and will continue through the end of August)

  • XLN student workshop participants

  • GEN 101 students summer and early fall

  • Edison employee page for access by employees/student workers

  • Edison homepage to collect date from web site visitors

The team will meet in September to review the data and to plan next steps for the committee.
