1. Instructions to students registering for online class

2. Kathy Clifton & Sharon Brown worked through the process of putting an established course online. Raised issues of where to find expertise, tools. Highlighted importance of instructor familiarity with online learning, perhaps by taking an online class prior to developing or teaching one. Discussed concerns about cheating and assessment, and how and whether to grade bulletin board participation. Pointed out importance of evaluating the online course.

Brad Reed & Linda Verceles approached as new or unknown instructor with an idea for a course not offered before. Addressed syllabus issues, core values, etc., especially outcomes, measurables and evaluation methods.

From those scenarios, the team should offer ideas about what the expectations of online instructors are and should be. Use the Blackboard site established by Ann for Online CQI. Go to the Communication link, then the Discussion Board. I've posted four topics for discussion.
