STATUS
We have macro-mapped Academic quality from the student-registration perspective:
Student wishes to take a course online
Student takes online proficiency test
If student passes, registration is completed
Student contacts instructor
If student does not pass, student is referred to intervention
NEXT STEP
Design the Online Proficiency test (Ann Miller and team)
Janice Michael and Vera will immediately work out new information for students regarding online course expectations, where to get information and how to contact the instructor
Begin blocking process for assuring Academic Quality in the course design
Report to CQI Steering Committee
On July 23, Brad reported the team's progress to the CQI Steering Committee. The Steering Committee members asked a lot of questions - clearly this is an issue that affects many people. Key feedback from the Steering Committee: begin thinking of measurables to determine success.
