Night Administrator  - Minutes

February 15, 2002

Members Present:  Sherri Clark (Team Leader), Cathy Barrow, Steve Sykes, Bill Meyer, Sharon Brown.

Absent:  Jim Garriety (excused), Phyllis Meiring, Chuck Steel

Review of Contact people for evening emergencies:

  • Corrections and/or additions were noted and a revised version will be dispersed to the team members
      

  • Security: what is their role in the evening? – Dr. Salisbury will touch base with security/Keith about these issues.  Security is scheduled to be on campus from 7:30am-11:00pm.  For help, call the information desk to contact security.

At this time the committee is recommending:

1.      There is currently no need for an Evening Administrator. 

2.      The first week of class a specified Administrator will be available (Dean).

3.      Create more college-wide signage advertising the Information Desk as the point of contact.

4.      Process responsible person for updating telephone numbers.

Plan:

Revised Contact People for Evening Emergencies will be sent out before March 1, 2002

Dr. Salisbury will send out the final recommendation by March 1, 2002.

Respond to the recommendation by March 6, 2002.

Final recommendation to be presented to the CQI Steering Committee on March 8, 2002.

 Other questions that were raised in an area that was not part of this committee’s charge:

  • What are procedures for early morning issues that arise before 7:30am?  Maintenance is here, but how can they be contacted?…
