-
Mission statement was discussed
and adopted as follows:
The purpose of the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) steering
committees is to provide vision, guidance and support to students,
faculty, staff and teh community on all CQI-related matters. The
committee will consistently evaluate projects, processes, and outcomes,
reinforce the commitment to continuous improvement and communicate
progress and CQI successes on an on-going basis.
Prime Functions:
Communicate all CQI related activity to the campus
Identify college-wide opportunities for improvement
Commission teams to address college-wide opportunities for
improvement
Develop key performance indicators for the quality initiative
(short & long term)
-
Jane Salisbury reviewed the
current process improvement teams and their work assignments.
-
Darrel Issacs requested the
steering committee select a new process improvement team to address
drops for non-payment and Dennis Myers requested the same consideration
for determination of hardware needs in CIT. After discussion, the
committee determined both process were Intradepartmental and should be
maintained within the respective departments. If a facilitator for
either process is needed, Jane Salisbury can serve in that capacity.
-
President Yowell led a discussion
on institutional direction, relevant to CQI.
-
The committee charged Jane
Salisbury with preparing a team charter for the steering committee,
including a list of members. Likewise, she is to prepare a listing of
all current teams, their charges and membership.
-
It was determined that some type
on-going information line should be provided to “advertise” what is
being done in CQI. Jane Salisbury is responsible for this.
Next meeting: January 26, 2001 Room 057; 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
