"External
events" are all Edison Community College events held on campus, but
to which the public is invited. Last year the External Events Planning
team was charged with devising a set of guidelines/timelines for these
events. The adopted guidelines are available in Public Folders, Events.
Select Events Process/Timeline. The "Facility Use Request
Form" encourages event planners to access these guidelines.
The team met again after
the December Holiday Evening to evaluate the effectiveness of the
"External Event Planning Timelines." We also solicited input
from Betty Blue, since her area is inevitably affected by any external
event. The consensus was that Edison family members are fairly well
following the guidelines and that, when followed, the guidelines are
working.
This team will not meet
again, unless a staff member feels the issue needs to be revisited. If
anyone has such a concern, please see Jane Salisbury.
