AQIP Criterion 5
Minutes

Present: President
Yowell, Pat Klopfenstein, Patti Ross, Chip Hare, Jane Salisbury
- The meeting was
called to order at 9:30 AM.
- There were no
additions or changes to the minutes, as distributed.
- Patti Ross led
the discussion with her draft language for areas one and two of
characteristics of leadership within teaching-learning organizations.
Pat Klopfenstein followed with discussion on areas three and four, and
then Bill Waxman addressed areas five and six. Jane Salisbury followed
up with areas seven and nine.
- It was decided
that basic concepts were present in all the draft items, but that
alignment of language and tone must be reconciled if the final document
was to be readable, immediately understandable, and appear, in fact,
finished. Jane Salisbury was charged with drafting a total document to
be forwarded to the team members prior to the next meeting.
- Dr. Yowell
handed out to team members a leadership document he had prepared for use
with the Servant Leadership group. He suggested that AQIP 5 members
read the document to enhance their personal understanding of the
interrelationship between the two groups and their work.
