President Yowell, Patti Ross, Pat Klopfenstein, Bill Waxman

- President
Yowell called the meeting to order and asked Patti Ross to discuss her
compilation of leadership characteristics from the materials provided
her by team members. She indicated she had used the leadership
headings suggested by Dr. Yowell and then placed the various
characteristics under the appropriate category lead. The end
result was two pages of merged/somewhat modified characteristics that
Patti felt represented the overall intent of the original items.
The group members concurred.
- The next step
is to modify the leadership characteristic listing into short paragraphs
describing both the definition and intent of the various categories.
Each of the team members present selected two categories and is to draft
an explanatory paragraph to be sent to other team members for review
prior to the next meeting. During that meeting those paragraphs will be
edited by the team as a whole.
- Once a final
draft is completed, the leadership characteristics will be forwarded to
the Servant Leadership facilitators to supplement their curriculum
design for line administrators studying leadership within a teaching
learning organization, with an underlying Servant Leadership focus.
4. The next meeting will be in Board
Room, August 14, from 9:30 – 11:30.
