MEMBERS PRESENT: Terri Jacomet,
Diane Arnold, Keith Kamerer, Eileen Thompson, Michael Fleishman

Eileen Thompson
and Michael Fleishman have spoken with Faculty regarding the Recognition
category of the project, and solicited their comments and suggestions.
They are following up this verbal communication with an email, which will
be distributed next week. Many comments and suggestions have already been
received and reviewed.

Phil Lootens and
Keith Kamerer addressed the Administrators with this topic at a recent
Extended Deans Council. Attendees will communicate the intent of the
committee and ask their employees to submit their comments and suggestions
to committee members.

There will be a
memo distributed on Friday, 11 April, to all classified staff and adjunct
faculty members, again asking for specific ideas on how to improve
recognition, and what kinds of recognition are important.

The committee will
be gathering this employee feedback in preparation for our next meeting,
where we will decide on both short- and long-term initiatives to be
implemented to improve recognition.
The next meeting will take place on
Thursday, 24 April 2003, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in Room 413.
