 MEMBERS PRESENT:  Terri Jacomet, Diane Arnold, Keith Kamerer, Eileen Thompson, Michael Fleishman, Phil Lootens

• The team discussed feedback that has been received following the distribution of the memo to Everyone at Edison.  Comments include:

o       Need to get at what people’s expectations are;

o       Are these value issues or communication issues?;

o       Perceptions and feelings may be smoothed with greater communication/honesty, which would increase trust;

•  The committee will soon be soliciting input from all staff as to how to address the category of improving Recognition:

o       Eileen and Michael will present to the Faculty Senate on Friday, 21 March 2003;

o       Phil and Keith will introduce the topic at Extended Deans Council on Tuesday, 25 March 2003;

o       Classified employees will have the opportunity to give their suggestions to their supervisors;

o       Adjuncts will be given some sort of correspondence in their campus mail.

o       The idea is to encourage some feedback from all staff classifications with some items which they feel would improve recognition.

The next meeting will take place on Thursday, 27 March 2003, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in Room 413.
