Also Present:
Jane Salisbury
Dr. Salisbury
presented an introduction and overview of the AQIP purpose and process,
and the AQIP description of Criterion 2 – Valuing People. Discussion was
held regarding these items. This project will be a long term project (3-5
years).
Survey results
indicated two particular areas of interest falling under this criterion:
-
Evaluation/Recognition/Reward Systems
- Orientation
Programs for Staff/Faculty, Staff Development
The members had
preliminary discussions regarding these areas and chose to focus the
project primarily on “Evaluation/Recognition/Reward Systems”. The group
agreed that the focus needed to be meaningful, measurable, and
documentable. Further, the process should reflect the philosophy and the
employee core values and vision of the college. Members were asked to
think about these items and bring specific ideas to the next meeting.
The members
decided to meet on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The project
has a short timeline of 6 weeks, so the Committee will meet weekly.
An additional
meeting will take place on Friday, 15 March from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
with lunch provided.
