PRESENT: Jack Kramer,
Jill Malolepszy, Becky Telford, Jane Salisbury, Sandy Brubaker, Terri
Jacomet, Dick Bollenbacher
·
Terri shared the target list numbers with the committee:
List 1 (males 60+ - 17,412; females 60+ - 17,545; unidentified – 91)
cost 4 cents per record for a total of $1,401.92. List 2 (#’s of
households with at least one 60+ - 24,384) cost 4.5 cents per record for
a total of $1,097.28.
·
Sandy and Becky have tried to contact retailers. Until we
have created our survey and selected dates, we will put this research on
hold.
·
Jill reported that she and Dick will be attending a
SafeHaven open house event that will have several organizations
represented that may be appropriate for our surveys.
·
Terri will look into the cost of a survey company that
could distribute the committee’s survey via email to a selected
demographic group.
·
The committee decided that at this point they would like
to develop a generic survey that would be appropriate for distribution
to any group. Each committee member will have ready for next meeting a
group of questions that could be used on the survey that would include
demographic identifiers and questions designed to find out the purpose
of the campus visitor (business and industry training, advisory
committee participant, facility use, etc.)
·
Once the questions have been finalized, the committee will
ask Ruth Barney to edit them. Jack Kramer will investigate other
colleges that may be doing similar work. Jane will bring a laptop to the
next meeting so that we may work on the survey.
·
Next meeting: October 17, 2005, 2:00 p.m. in the Board
Room.
