Criterion 3:
Understanding Student and
Stakeholder Needs
Meeting Minutes - September 20,
2006
Those
present: Dick Bollenbacher, Jill Maloepsky-Boeke, Jack Kramer,
Becky Telford, Jane Salisbury
Those
absent: Sandy Brubaker, Terri Jacomet
Discussion/Actions
- Dr.
Salisbury shared the Action Project Update she had posted in
late August to the AQIP website. She also discussed the urgency
of further action if we are to keep this project in good
standing.
- The
survey being shepherded by the Admissions Office should be
completed by the end of September. Data has been entered into
Zoomerang and final response rates should be compiled prior to
our early October meeting.
- Yield
rate data from the 30-60-90-day communication cycle of “interest
follow-up” is positive and surpasses our benchmark. However, it
relates to only one population of our possible constituency,
that being students.
- Jill
Maloepsky-Boeke reported that the Troy High School psychologist
is testing its graduates who are entering Edison and thereby
providing us with the data needed to support special needs.
This saves the students nearly $200.00. Piqua High School has
thus far declined such a service to their graduates without some
form of recompense.
- Becky
Telford will verify with Chris Sargent that customer service
surveys are being given those non-Edison groups reserving our
facility.
- It was
suggested that athletic events may be a good source of
non-student stakeholders for our needed information. Perhaps a
survey could be given as folks entered the activity with a
drawing at half time. The drawing might bear the IPod Sandy
Brubaker had offered on previous occasions. Jill
Maloepsky-Boeke will investigate this possibility.
- Becky
Telford will enter into the Zoomerang survey currently being
offered to see is there are apparent themes the team might be
able to wrap into some type of actions.
